

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terrance Alan Danford, who departed this world on 9 June 2025, Terry was 75 years old and had a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable contributions to their family, friends, and country.
Born on 12 May 1950 in Denver Colorado to Earl and laVay Danford, Terry grew up in Littleton Colorado with parents dedicated to family and hard work. His upbringing set him on a path that ultimately led him to earn a Masters Degree and complete a successful career as an Air Force Officer where he held positions as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Combat Crew Commander, Air Officer Commanding at the US Air Force Academy and Chief of Battle Staff on the Airborne Launch Control System retiring in 1992 at the rank of Major.
In September of 1970 Terry married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Ann Knouse and ultimately had two children, Christopher and Clayton. Terry and Phyllis enjoyed camping and traveling together and eventually explored 17 countries together.
A loving husband, father, brother and uncle, Terry cherished his family above all else. He was always there to offer support, encouragement, and wisdom. His sense of humor was always off the wall and brought everyone joy.
Terry was extremely and versatilely talented, his passions and accomplishments were diverse including cooking, woodworking, carving, painting, crocheting and even playing the harmonica. Terry approached every endeavor with an infectious energy, drive and can do attitude as evidenced by his often stated motto “I can make that!”
Terry is survived by his wife Phyllis, sons and daughters in law Chris and Stacey, Clay and Laura. Grandchildren Anna, Terry, Heather, Cole, Ryan and Kara and great-grandchildren Ezra, Bryar, Amara, Ember, Willie, Rhett and Gunner. His two brothers Greg and Kevin as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. His memory will be cherished by everyone who loved him, and his legacy will continue to inspire for generations to come.
