I wish I had know I loved her so much my name is Laura Ray and she taught me so much of having a relationship with God and I will always be so grateful that she and and miss Deanna and miss Betty and miss Cindy who knew and knows God to those and miss Vicky I will always be in there love as they will on mine and miss Vicky I know your with God and so that my sadness is only for those who never met you thank you.

I worked at Little Lambs Child Care Center when you first opened.

Vicki was a dear friend. Her parents were our Pastors of the church in Lampasas, TX when my parents were saved.  From our church they became Missionaries to the Philippines. Vicki and I roomed together at Southwestern Assemblies of God College and we were in each other’s weddings. We had unfortunately lost touch for quite a number of years which I truly regret. I wasn’t aware she had been ill until very recently. I am so sorry to hear about Vicki’s passing. I know she will be terribly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Mrs Vicky carried the perfect blend of what it was that I needed to finally see I was broken & needed help. She was as solid as they came. Her perfect blend of strength, humility, kindness, & patience is what helped me finally find the end to myself. Her relationship & obedience to the Lord was something to be admired. Whenever there was a decision to be made or a wall we seemed to hit within ourselves, she would ask us if we had sought the Lord & prayed about it. She was constantly pointing us back to Him. Even in my own perspective & mindset, before I met the Lord, I do not remember one time where she played favorites. It would have been easy too! Lol- there were clearly some of us that were less trouble than the others. She was just & she was fair. These qualities can only come from Jesus. She had gotten to a point in her life, that would prepare her & put her in a special position to be able to actually help the women that came into House of Promise. Not everyone has the strength for that. Not everyone has the stomach for that. Not everyone has the patience for that. Not everyone has the love & compassion that's needed. She deeply cared for us & loved us. When you would speak to her, there was a sense of strength and peace. She helped in providing a safe place for us women to rest. So much of her life must have been spent being prepared by the Lord for what she would undertake later with us. She was a bright light in a dark place. She has helped bring Jesus to so many women, & in turn placed a mark of hope & healing on future generations. There are countless people that are able to say things just like I've said about Mrs Vicki, all because she chose to walk in obedience to what the Lord had called her to do. She chose hard. She chose the path less taken. She chose Jesus. She has finally found her reward. I'm honored to have known this women. As Jesus would say "Well done, good and faithful servant." 👏🏼 Go be with Jesus. We will see you again Mrs Vicki.

I became friends with Vicki when she married Darryl because I knew Darryl from college. Through the years, we kept in contact by letters, cards and text messages. Even on occasions, when Don and I were in the USA, we stopped by to visit or even to spend a night at her house like we did last October. But I will never forget that she interceded for me when I was a few minutes from death’s door in 1977. She was a prayer warrior for sure. She texted me on June 15 saying, “I’m praying for you and yours tonight.” I will miss her tremendously. Melba Exley

We became close friends while in college and then upon graduation we pastored very close to each other and then we moved overseas.  However, having Vicki as a friend means you have a true friend.  Living overseas meant we saw each other infrequently but when that did happen it was like we had just been together.  Her love and spiritual vitality were contagious.
When we had a “life and death” medical issue overseas God awakened Vicki in the night to pray and intercede on our behalf.  Melba is here today because of a godly woman, Vicki, who was willing to be awakened by a dream to pray for her friend in South America.  King Solomon wrote, “but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.”  
Vicki’s love and spiritual compassion was always evident by her quick smile and open arms that not only embraced her friends with love but those who were the most hurting.  Her life, her dedication, her work ethic and her compassion have marked thousands of people.

It's hard to know what to say about this extraordinary woman! I love how she was about our Father's business until He called her home. I love that every time I spoke with her, she was filled with the joy of the Lord! Vicki always had an encouraging word to share, and her love for Christ filled every conversation.  Vicki left a lasting impression of God's grace, love, and power everywhere she went. I am hopeful that my husband, Josh, and I can contribute to her legacy with the vision she had for Daniel's home.

A friend like Vicki only comes along once in a lifetime---a friend that sticks with you through good times and hard times--- a friend who loves and supports you no matter what.  That's who Vicki was and is and will be forever.  And I look forward to seeing her again.  She told me years ago where to meet her when we both reach Heaven, and I know she'll be there waiting for me when I enter Heaven's gate.

Words can express how thankful I am that she was used by our gracious heavenly Father to enter to the gates of his kingdom of living as a warrior woman for Jesus our Lord!!♥️ I was a student at House Of Promise for all the times I wanted to give up her love pressed me in and onward to the day of graduating I went on a journey like no other in this program as I came down with breast cancer during this time Ms. Vicki prayed about it and she knew I needed to continue and allow me to get all the care and healing power the Lord Jesus provided amazingly while in program I look forward to the day I will enter the heavenly gates receiving one of her big hugs again💝✨✨🙏🕊️ she lived a very rewarding life making a big impact of the love of God and giving us hope for when we were hopeless🌻🥰
