Born on February 20, 1951, in Clovis, New Mexico, Vicki was the daughter of Odell and Edna (Radke) Roberts. She spent her formative years in Texas and graduated from Killeen High School in Killeen in 1969. Following high school, she attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie from 1969 to 1970.
Vicki’s life was marked by unwavering faith and a deep commitment to service. As a devoted pastor’s wife for over two decades alongside her husband Darryl Proffit, she ministered faithfully in churches across Ohio, Texas, and Colorado. Her love for the Lord was evident not only in her words but also through her actions—she lived to serve others and share the message of hope and salvation.
Her passion for ministry extended beyond the church walls. Vicki founded House of Promise in Colorado and played a key consulting role in the establishment of Sarah’s Home, both organizations dedicated to offering refuge and restoration. These efforts reflected her heart for the broken and her desire to be a vessel of healing.
Vicki also found joy in worship and community outreach. She cherished her time helping with worship at Viewpoint Senior Community in Colorado Springs, where she continued to uplift others through music and fellowship.
Those who knew Vicki remember her as God-honoring, consistent, hard-driven, loyal, loving, and generous. She always made time for her family and poured herself into their lives with grace and strength.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Darryl Proffit of Colorado Springs; three daughters: Kristi Bentley, Kati (Mike) Liming, and Kari (Cuentin) Coleman; grandchildren: Jeff (Marissa) Bentley, Ashleigh Bentley, Tiffanie (Dontae) Liddell, Rebekkah (Elijah) Walker-Brian, Kaleigh (Ben) Humber, CJ Coleman, Christian Coleman, Kamdan Liming, and Kallan Liming; great-grandchildren: Jeffery, Jordan, Lydia, Maizie, Dominic, and Anna; siblings: Stephen (Phyllis) Roberts and Grace Curtis; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Odell and Edna Roberts, brother-in-law Michael Deorsam, and her son-in-law, Cuentin Coleman.
