

Virginia Charlotte (Wheaton) Kitchen passed away on December 2, 2015 as a result of complications from a fall. Virginia was born August 8, 1923 in Leominster, MA to Seamon and Ethel Wheaton. She married Aaron H. Kitchen on December 21, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico. They were married for 53 years before his passing in 2000. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Linda Storm (Raymond), Marcia Olson (Robert) and Leslie Kitchen (Tricia). Grandchildren are Russell Storm, Raymond Storm, Joshua Olson, Anna Flanagan, Emily Kitchen, Kristen Patten and Zach Glaspy. Great-grandchildren are Shawn Olson, Russell Storm, R. B. Storm, Aaron Storm, Deklan Flanagan, Ava Flanagan, Arlan Flanagan, Brodi Adkins and Weston Douglas. She is also survived by numerous extended family members.Virginia was a homemaker and an active member of First Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. She was very involved with the Christian Workers Class and a member of the Sew & Sews. This small group of women met faithfully every week to sew hundreds of lap robes and quilts to be given away to patients and residents of various hospitals and nursing homes. They all considered it a labor of love. Viewing will be from 10 am to 10:30 am at First Baptist Church 317 E, Kiowa St. with funeral services to follow at 11am on Friday, December 11, 2015.
