Master Abiye Theodore Gambo, was born March 25th, 1994 to Mr. Cyril Gambo and Mrs. Linda Osemwegie Omwenyeke at Community Hospital, San Bernardino, CA. Abiye Gambo passed away Monday July 19th, 2010 at 1:57 PM at Children Hospital of Los Angeles, Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA. By his bed side at the time of his passing was his cousin and corner rock Mrs. Ifueko Aghedo.
Master Abiye Gambo was a well loved and exemplary individual who touched so many people lives. He was a good family person, dependable, peace loving and a God fearing person. Abiye was also a very dedicated member of Christ Apostolic Church of San Bernardino, CA. Abiye attended North Park Elementary School, San Bernardino, then proceeded to Landmark Middle School, Moreno Valley and presently a model grade 10 student at Vista Del Lago High School, Moreno Valley, CA at the time of passing.
Master Abiye Theodore Gambo leaves to cherish his memory, mother Mrs. Linda Omwenyeke, big daddy Avenbuan Omo Omwenyeke, father Mr. Cyril Gambo, brother Eghosa Omwenyeke and sister Miss Sade Jones, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
“May I be assured of your presence, God as I weather this storm? As the waves toss me about and the ship of life threatens to crash into rough rocks: You are there. I won’t despair. For no wind or water, rock or sand has the power to defeat your plans for me. After all, you created these things, and in you alone they have their existence. God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm”.
“A million times we will miss you. A million times we will cry. If my love alone would have kept you, never, ever would you have died. Abiye, We love you and you will always be in our hearts”. Your mother Linda, Big daddy Avenbuan, daddy Cyril and brother Eghosa and your sister Sada.
“I know Somebody”
I wanna dedicate this song to those who are looking for somebody to talk to and I guarantee to you if you look up, you will be happy forever and ever. It all started out like this…. We came to this world in a mystery not knowing how we humans are created. This is why a man named Jesus came to this world, an only begotten son to show us the better understanding of our world. And for those who are suffering I wanna let you know that I know somebody who can help you and it is somebody who is more powerful than anything you can think of.
“If you ever wanna find the truth to your life, I know somebody”
“If you ever feel down or depressed, I know somebody”
“ If you ever wanna feel connected to someone, I know somebody”
“If you need strength in you, I know somebody”
“And this somebody is very high beyond our imagination”
“Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Our holy God”
“Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Our holy God”
(Abiye Gambo).
The Bible says “if I have it all and yet have not loved, I am nothing” Abiye Efosa Theodore Gambo, you were loved and we honor you. We respect and admire you for your courage, strength and resilience. Though you have come to the end of the road, but know you fought the good fight of faith gallantly and you gave your family, friends, and all that came in contact with you hope and zeal. In our wildest dream, it never crossed our minds that, we would be giving you this Eulogy in death. Death can never be victor over you but we are consoled that, you are in the bosom of the Lord and a day will come when we shall all meet again. In all, we thank God for the 16years 3 months and 24 days we got to know you, cherish you, love you and the wonderful memories and thought you leave behind. Yes! You are away from us, to a place of peace, love, comfort and no pain. We know you are looking down upon us in our moment of pain, confusion, questions, mysteries, sorrow and grief. We know and we are comforted by your reaffirmation of love and the fond and good memories of you are our comfort. However, we continuously ask these questions, what is home without you? What would coming home be, knowing you are not there and never coming back? It is hard to fathom that, when we come home, it would be without your warm embrace. Abiye, we are going to miss you dearly and words cannot explain how much you mean to us and the joy you brought to our lives. But as you travel to heaven and we grieve, we are reassured that, “the Lord is our shepherd” and “through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil” but be comforted that, you are with our almighty God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Abiye we love you and we say goodbye momentarily but we know it is only for a short period of time. Sleep well Abiye, sleep well. (Big daddy Avenbuan Omo Omwenyeke, mother Mrs. Linda Omwenyeke, brother Master Eghosa Osayame Omwenyeke, Cousin Mrs. Ifueko Aghedo, Uncle Dr. Merry Osemwegie and our extended families).
On behalf of the Osemwegie, Omwenyeke and Gambo families, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for presence, support and love at this very difficult time. May almighty God our father bless you all!
