

Alejandro B. Timple was born in Amagbagan, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Phillippines on May 3, 1921. His parents Teodoro and Benita Timple, were farmers who cared for their five children in their hometown of Pangasinan. He attended kindergarten at Malasin Bario School, elementary at Pozorrubio Elementary School, high school at Northern Luzon Academy, and college at Phillipine Union College.
Alejandro married Barbara Miguel from Batac Illocos Norte on June 11, 1941, in Manila Phillippines. He was 20 years old and she 18. They were married for over 60 years until Barbara’s death in 1999. They raised seven children, Melo Jean, Alex, Edwin, Robert, Annie, Shirley and Jesse. They are blessed with 17 grand children and 15 great grand children.
Alejandro worked in the Phillippine Publishing House from 1948 to 1969 and served as the Manager for nine years. In 1968, Alex and Barbara accepted a calling to serve as missionaries to Bangkok, Thailand Publishing House. He served as the President of the Thailand Publishing House for over 8 years. He returned to the United States and worked at the University (Pacific) Press in San Jose, California, from 1981 to 1983. From 1984 to 1987 he worked in the Loma Linda University Receiving and Delivery department. He later retired in 1987 with a total of 40 years serving the Lord in his work in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Throughout his life he was dedicated to the Lord and was quite active in Church. He served as a Deacon in the Phillippine University Church, Head Deacon and Sabbath School teacher and Elder at the Thai English Church, Deacon and Elder at Loma Linda Filipino Church and past President of the Goldenaires. His most recent accomplishment is being one of the pioneers for the Palm Springs Filipino-American Church where he served as an Elder and Head Elder. His work for the Lord extended to Bible Studies, Graveyard ministry, Visit Shot Ends, Tract distribution and missionary letter writing.
Alejandro was very active in sports playing ping pong and volleyball in school and actively played tennis until the age of 85. He was most happy when he was fishing from oceans and lakes. The largest fish he caught was a yellow fin tuna that was approximately 3 feet in length and 30 lbs.
On May 4, 2005, he married Ligaya Simisin, of Batac, Ilocos Norte. He was 85 years old and she 55. They had a beautiful life together until his peaceful death on June 12, 2010.
Alejandro Bugarin Timple passed away on June 12, 2010 in Loma Linda, CA. He was born on May 3, 1921 in the Phillippines. He is survived by his wife Ligaya Timple, his three daughters, Melo Jean Campomanes, Annie Santiago and Shirley Schilling; his four sons, Alex, Edwin, Robert and Jessie, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services were held on Friday, June 18, 2010 @ 10:00 AM at Montecito Valley View Chapel in Colton, CA. Interment followed at Montecito Memorial Park in Cooton, CA.
