Angel Ruben Guevara

Ángel nació el 1 de diciembre de 1947 en la ciudad de Guatemala. Su padre Ángel Rubén Guevara Oliva y madre Carlota Del Carmen Guevara Garcia tuvieron una gran familia de 10 hijos e hijas. El mayor de 10. La infancia fue muy alegre y muy querida al lado de su Mama y Papa y hermanos: Rolando, Cesar, Rene, Greg, Louis y hermanas: Carmen, Blanca, Sandra y Sylvia tuvo lo que deseaba.

Su adolescencia fue llena de fiestas y carreras de bicicleta con Rolando, Arturo y compañeros. Su escuela Don Bosco fue donde asistió y el maestro German Lopez fue su maestro favorito. Jugando el futbol con el equipo Juventud Dinámica y pasando el tiempo en La Finca de su querido abuelito montando los caballos y jugando en el campo. Fueron memorias muy queridas para él.

En su etapa de adulto muy contento por tener sus dos hijos Ángelo Guevara, Javier Guevara y una hija Diana Hall y haber estado casado con Nora y haber trabajado por 24 años en la compañía Pitney Bowes. Tuvo mucho orgullo cuando sus hijos e hija se recibieron de la Universidad.

En sus logros profesionales muy orgulloso de haberse recibido como contador público, y haber estudiado electrónicas y negocios. También tuvo tiempo para participaciones cívicas estuvo de voluntario en el Hospital Loma Linda en emergencia por varios meses ayudando a las enfermeras y pacientes. También sirvió como interprete para el grupo de Trasplantes de Hígado en Loma Linda. Algo que nunca le llego para el su trasplante.

Lo que más le gusto fue la bicicleta, gano varios premios en la bicicleta y el futbol. Sus colores favoritos rojo y azul. Sus pasatiempos eran ver televisión, leer libros, tocar la guitarra y estar con su familia. Sus recuerdos más queridos: su mama y papa fueron lo mejor del mundo: “Siempre me dieron lo que podían y siempre me dieron lo mejor una buena educación”.

Un hombre, padre, abuelo, hermano, amigo valiente hasta el final. Siempre dio lo mejor que pudo y venció tantas batallas médicas y contratiempos hasta que Dios lo llamo.

Las memorias y recuerdos son los que se quedan para ahora y siempre. Celebramos el gran hombre, padre, “dad”, abuelo, “grandpa”, hermano, “Chepito” y amigo que está en la Gloria de Dios. Un día muy pronto nos volveremos a ver. Es un hasta luego te queremos, extrañamos y respetamos.

Angel was born on December 1, 1947 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was the firstborn son of Angel Ruben Guevara Oliva and Carlota Del Carmen Guevara Garcia. Angel is survived by, his three children: Diana Hall, Angelo Guevara and Javier Guevara. His grandchildren, Andy Hall, Luke Hall, Orion Guevara, Kal-el Guevara and Alexander Guevara. His siblings: Rolando Guevara, Cesar Guevara, Rene Guevara, Greg Guevara, Louis Guevara, Carmen Valladares, Blanca Noggle, Sandra Griggs and he is preceded in death by the late Sylvia Barrajas. He enjoyed a very happy childhood.

In his early years, playing soccer, parties and cycling races with Rolando and Arturo and many other friends were his favorite pastimes. He attended and graduated from Don Bosco Catholic High School in Guatemala. He enjoyed playing soccer for his team “Juventud Dinamica” and spending time in his grandfather’s farm riding horses and playing in the fields. These were very precious memories.

In his adult life, he was very happy and proud of his two sons; Angelo and Javier and daughter Diana. HE was also very happy to have been married to Nora, the love of his life. HE also worked for Pitney Bowes for 24 years. It also gave him great pride and joy to see his children graduate from high school and college.

In his professional career he was very proud as a Public Accountant. He studied electronics and received his AA degree in Business. He also spent some time volunteering once he retired from Pitney Bowes. He volunteered at the Loma Linda Medical Center in the Emergency Department helping the nurses and the patients. HE was also part of the Liver Transplant Group in Loma Linda and served as an interpreter for the group, even though the transplant never arrived for him.

His favorite sport was cycling. He won many races and very much enjoyed playing soccer as well. His favorite colors were red and blue. His favorite pastimes were watching television, reading books, playing his guitar and spending time with the family. His most cherished memories are “Mom and Dad were the best in the world: They always gave me what they could and they always gave me the best education.”

A Man, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Cousin and friend, brave throughout his lifetime. He always gave the best of himself and fought a great battle with many health issues until God called him. The memories are what is left, until we meet again. Let’s celebrate this Great and One and Only Man, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Cousin, Chepito and Friend. One day soon, we will see each other again. Until that day, we love you, miss you and respect you.
