

ANGEL F. LEON, Our loving Brother, Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Uncle, has gone to heaven on March 22, 2020, at the age of 85 years, surrounded by his family at home in Highland, CA. He was born January 28,1935, in San Bernardino, California.
He attended Meadowbrook Elementary, Sturgis Jr. High, Pacific High School and San Bernardino Valley Community College.
He understood the importance of helping his family, and began working early in childhood, he enlisted into the U.S. Marines Corps 1956-1959 and received an honorable discharge, he was employed as a steel worker before his career employment with the City of San Bernardino Police Department as a police officer, during his 25 years of proud service to his community, he also worked tirelessly as a security officer at local events, San Bernardino Boxing Arena, Stardust Roller Rink and Fedco store. After retirement, he and his wife, Rosie, were successful business owners of San Bernardino Towing during the years 1988-2003, thereafter, he continued to work as a security officer at San Bernardino International Airport 2006-2013.
He had an infinite love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He cherished spending time with all of them and shared his lifetime devotion of God. He was an admired and respected volunteer youth football, softball and baseball coach, he enjoyed playing racquetball and golf, an admirer of the ocean, a fierce swimmer, avid reader and collector of Louis L’Amour books, whistled to music, watered his fruit and palm trees as he enjoyed a good cigar or tobacco pipe with his dogs by his side, and contributed to every veteran cause.
He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Leonor Leon; his siblings, Eloisa Saucedo, Alice Huerta, Roy Leon, Fidel Hernandez and Isabel “Chuck” Leon; his son David Leon and his wife of 38 years, Rosie Leon.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Ceja; his siblings, Antonia Rodriguez, Daniel Hernandez, Lupe Solis; and children, Mary Duran, Angela Ledesma, Lisa Leon-Cupersmith and Rachel Leon-Zerbe; 10 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren.
