Arnold graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1970. He was raised in Muscoy and very proud of it! In High School he was very athletic and played football and baseball and played the bass. He was also a member of The Chancellors car club and later joined The Gents. He retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad after 23 years and worked part time for First Student Bus transportation in San Bernardino before his illness. He lived in East Highland with Olivia for 17 years and recently moved to Sacramento, CA. His passions in life were his family, friends, sports (Dodgers/Lakers) eating and going to Nenas Restaurant, Rays Deli and The Gents Hall, dancing to his brother Ray’s band “Nightlife”. There he would meet with his good friends Julie and Danny Quezada, Tony and Carol Carrera, and Gloria Sorenson . He had so many friends! Olivia would always comment on being stopped by people he knew no matter where they went. (Even out of state!)
He loved to coach baseball. He coached his son Erik and grandsons Erik JR and daughters Natalie, Colby and Alisha’s softball and baseball teams. He also attended his grandsons and granddaughter’s games from Colton to Santa Maria. He loved going to local REV high school football and baseball games and was proud of Alisha’s friends on the teams. His pride and joy was his youngest daughter Alisha with her piano recitals and her enthusiasm for cross country. He was also very happy that his daughter Natalie graduated from Fresno State Univ and of Colby, his oldest daughter, who recently joined the Natl Guard. Colby had three amazing kids who he loved very much. Jacob, who had a passion for sports like his grandpa. He would take to the San Bernardino’s
National Little League Series as often as he could.
