Aurora Colon was born in Mexico and came to the United States looking for a better future. Aurora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She found much comfort in entertaining all those who would stop by the house. The first thing she would do, is ask who was hungry and begin to prepare a plate of food. Aurora was a woman of many talents and worked several different jobs throughout her life. Her work began as a seamstress and house keeper, then later in her life she worked at the Ford Motor Company alongside with her husband and was also a small business owner to help provide for her family.
What brought the most joy to her was her family. Aurora would always say “without family you have nothing” and therefore dedicated herself to being involved with those she loved. Family is what she lived for! Aurora also had a passion for birds, Canaries in particular; she would sit and drink her coffee while the birds sing. Another pleasure was having plants all around the house and outside. Her heart was big, and always willing to give and help anyone, anyway that she could.
Aurora is survived by her husband Gabino, son James, stepson Gary and Grandchildren, Randy, Nicole, Catalina, Miranda, Alexander and Parker. Aurora was also blessed with two Great Grandchildren, Emiry and Marc Jr.
Aurora will have a Viewing at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Montecito Mortuary in the Valley View Chapel, in Colton, California, with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery also in Colton, California.
