Barbara was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, Valerie Saenz, Frank Wolf, Cristina Salmon, and Allie Espinoza, as well as her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
A woman of strong faith, Barbara attended church regularly and found comfort and community in her spiritual life. She volunteered with her church, Holy Name of Jesus as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, and with Mary’s Mercy Center feeding the homeless. She had a deep love for travel and adventure, embracing every opportunity to explore the world. Whether journeying to new destinations across the globe or enjoying the open road in her motorhome, Barbara created lasting memories filled with joy and discovery. She shared many of these experiences traveling with her mother, and she continued to travel and explore independently, always guided by her adventurous spirit.
Barbara had a profound love for animals and opened her heart and home to many dogs and cats throughout her life. She cared for each of them deeply, treating them as cherished members of her family. Her compassion for animals was just one reflection of her gentle and nurturing nature.
Her vibrant and determined spirit was evident in all she did, including her remarkable accomplishment of running a marathon—a true testament to her perseverance and strength. She also built a long and dedicated career working for California Edison, where she was known for her hard work and commitment.
She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the way she made time for friends and loved ones alike. Barbara had a gift for connection and found joy in simply being with others.
