

Brenda Louise Garcia passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon June 17, 2025, at her residence in Moreno Valley. She was only 68 years old. She was born November 30, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Reynolds and Lucille Mack.
Brenda moved from Wisconsin at the age of 3 to Riverside County, California and lived here most of her life. At a young age she loved horseback riding and all forms of dance and music. She graduated from John W. North High School, class of 1974. It was in Riverside, California where Brenda met her husband, Harrison in 1992. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada in July 1994. They bought and lived in their home in 2008.
Brenda worked for the County of Riverside for most of her career, which included five years with the Riverside County Coroner's Office. She then worked as Mail Clerk at the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), being promoted after two years to Supervising Mail Clerk which she held for ten years. Brenda was promoted to the position of Operating Services Supervisor in 2005 from which she retired from on November 2, 2016. During her tenure at DPSS she received a letter of recognition from the Director of DPSS Dennis Boyle, which was rarely issued.
Brenda was a confident, independent, strong-willed yet loving and generous person that will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew her, worked with her or were lucky enough to call her family.
Brenda is survived by and profoundly missed by her loving husband of 31 years, Harrison, and her Shih Tzu kiddos Rylan and Colin, stepmother Thelma Mack and stepbrother DJ.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, sister Denise; and brothers Denny, Roger, Doug and Renny.
Her memory lives on with her family, cousins Tamara Sarra-Porter, and Michelle Aus Barstad. On her husband’s side, sister-in-law Sherrie Garcia, brother-in-law Marco Garcia, sister-in law, Lucia Byrne, brother-in-law Christopher Byrne, nieces Halie Byrne, Paige Byrne, Elissa Byrne and nephew Ethan Byrne.
Memorial and visitation services will be held 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary, in Colton, California.
