

Carmen Teresa Mejia, 48, of San Bernardino, California, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2025. Her sudden loss has left her family and community heartbroken, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carmen was born on February 25, 1977, to Margaret Mejia and John Mejia. She earned her GED and built a successful 10-year career in property management, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and compassion.
Carmen was previously married to Richie Hess. Together with her mother, Margaret Mejia, she raised a beautiful family filled with love and resilience. She was the proud and loving mother of Memory, Franklin Noah, Alex, and Isabella, and a caring stepmother to Rebecca and Richie.
She was also a loving grandmother to Jade, Anastasia, Ezra, and Stevie, who brought immense joy and light into her life. Carmen loved deeply, gave selflessly, and carried herself with quiet strength and resilience.
Her laughter was contagious, and her presence lit up every room she entered. Carmen’s family and friends will always remember her for her kindness, sense of humor, and the unwavering love she gave to those around her.
A public viewing and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at
10:00 a.m. at Cypress Chapel at Montecito Memorial, located 24145 Barton Rd, Loma
Linda, CA 92354
A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. at a private residence.
