

Carole Ann Cutler Grossi, a nearly lifelong resident of the Inland Empire, passed away on October 20, 2017, surrounded by the family to whom her life had been devoted. Carole was born in Collinsville, Oklahoma on March 24, 1944. She came to California when she was just 2 years old and remained in California for her 74 years of life...
Carole was devoted to the Arts throughout her youth in both theatre and dance. She appeared in musical theatre productions for the San Bernardino Civic Light Opera and in local theatre productions in Redlands and Rialto. Carole was also involved in 4H where she developed a lifelong love of animals. She attended Eisenhower High School in Rialto where she was active in drama as well as being the school mascot and a majorette. She was part of the first graduating class of Eisenhower, graduating in 1962...
Carole married Joseph Grossi in 1964. After first living in Rialto and then San Bernardino, they found their "home" in Fontana where they remained and raised their four children. Carole's love for the Arts never diminished and her children grew up considering the Arts as an intregal aspect of having a normal life. This personal passion of Carole also shared with the youth of her community. She worked with drill teams at North Tamarind Elementary and Alder Junior High in Fontana, and was extensively involved with the Inland Empire Royal Knights Youth Marching Band. She felt a deep connection to young people and her home was always open to the many kids who lovingly referred to her as "Mama G"...
Carole was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Bobbie Cutler. She is survived by her sister Robbin Cutler, her two daughters, Maria Grossi Robinette and Geri Grossi Marquez, two sons, Gene Grossi (Rosalinda) and Tony Grossi (Michelle) and seven grandchildren, Joey, Kayla, Matthew, Sara, Vanessa, Hailee and Sophia...
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 1 p.m., at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, California.
