Claire A. Kidd

Claire Ann Kidd, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at her home in Grand Terrace, CA. Claire was born in Riverside, CA on November 6, 1941 to her parents, LO Williams and Vivian Polk. She graduated from Coachella Valley High School in 1959 where she met her future husband, Larry. Claire was happily married to Larry Kidd Sr for 44 years until he proceeded her in death in 2004.

Claire was a dedicated mother to Larry Jr and Tracy, grandmother to Josh, Chantal, Travis, Kaile, DJ, and Lexie, and great-grandmother to Carter and Harper. Claire was an active member of the Grand Terrace woman’s club for over 50 years and was involved in Guide Dogs of the Desert and The Lions Club for many years prior to her husband’s passing.

Some of Claire’s favorite hobbies were gardening, knitting, and working in her antique booth. For many years, Claire and Larry Sr. were the proud owners of Treasure Mart, a local antique mall. She also enjoyed having lunch with a special group of friends she called the Birthday Club. Above all, nothing brought Claire more joy than spending time with her family. Becoming a grandmother and great grandmother were some of the best moments of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Sr, her parents LO and Vivian, and her two daughters-in-law, Donna and Cheryl.

She is survived by her children Larry Jr and Tracy, her grandchildren Josh (Jimmy), Chantal (Garrett), Travis (Kaylee), Kaile (Eddie), DJ, and Lexie, and her great grandchildren Carter and Harper.

Memorial services have been planned for October 26, 2023 at 1pm and will be hosted by Montecito Mortuary Cypress Chapel, 24145 Barton Rd Loma Linda, CA 92354. Graveside service to follow immediately after.
