Life Sketch
Clara was born on March 17, 1922, in Puiggari, Entre Rios, Argentina. Her mother Amalia Lust was a nurse and her father, Felipe Sittner, after being a nurse became a pastor. Clara had one brother, Edgar. Because of her fathers responsibilities as a pastor, the family had the opportunity to live in different places across South America. Clara's mother introduced her to the piano, which became a lifelong passion. By the young age of 15, Clara had already performed a full recital for her Piano Degree in Buenos Aires. Throughout her life, she used her musical talent to give the gift of music as a pianist and organist in church. Originally she intended to continue this career path to become a concert pianist by studying for one year with Dr. Lalewitz at the National School of Music in Buenos Aires but decided instead to go to River Plate College to become a school teacher. She then graduated from River Plate College as an elementary school teacher and taught there.During her time at River Plate College, she was engaged to Carlos Drachenberg, who was studying medicine in the city of Rosario. Carlos and Clara were married in 1945. They had three boys: Donaldo, Rene, and Haroldo.Carlos became a missionary doctor and Clara was always by his side and active in the church directing choirs and other musical groups. They worked at the River Plate Hospital where Carlos founded the nursing school program, they later moved to Buenos Aires and founded the Clinica Medica Belgrano. After seven years they moved to Paraguay where he founded the Sanatorio Adventista de Hohenau where Clara was the administrator and then receptionist. Five years later the family moved to Los Angeles, California where Carlos finished his second specialty in OBGYN before returning to Puiggari for the next few years. In 1977 Carlos and Clara moved to Montemorelos University in Mexico, where for the following 10 years Clara worked as the secretary of the School of Medicine and as vice director of the White Estate. Even though her degrees were in music and teaching, her main hobby was painting. Clara discovered her artistic talent at an early age and later in life, she received many awards for her oil paintings.Life was filled with many adventures. Clara & Carlos liked to travel and together they traveled the world. Clara was an optimistic person and was loved by her three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.Clara's wish was for us to celebrate her life with happiness, the same happiness she reflected throughout her life. She rests waiting to hear the sound of the trumpet when Jesus comes.
