Darrell Alton Brooks born on July 21, 1933 in St. Albans, Maine. Served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Father: Donald Brooks, Mother: Elmira Brooks (Nutter). He graduated from Corinna Union Academy in Corinna, Maine, in 1951 He worked at the Santa Fe Railway in Barstow, Kansas City, Topeka and San Bernardino from 1952 to 1989.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 042. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son James and his daughter Brenda. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Elizabeth (Betty) Brooks, his son Steve Brooks and his daughter Judy Croteau, his granddaughters Lindsay and Amanda, his grandsons Bryan, Radley and Drew, great granddaughters Avalon and Abigail, great grandsons Kade and Axel. his nephews Brendan, Patrick. Eric, Matthew and Sebastian, his Elaina, Caylin and Erin and grandnieces Jacquelyn and Kennedy.
