Denise,  I will miss your kind and gentle spirit. Your sweet soft voice always so caring.  You are a precious soul and I am so blessed to have had you in my life. I pray that you'll rest peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father. I'm going to miss you.

It was a great joy when our sister arrived home on Christmas Day 1955. Being born on December 23rd, she was the most beautiful Christmas present us two older brothers could have ever gotten. Brent and I fussed so much over this tiny sister. She made friends easily, and did great in school all those years. 
Denise as an adult, started showing signs of being much like our mother. She would help do things mostly with crafts with Jennifer at first when she was little. Then she did so much with her own children at home, and their friends who would enjoy coming to her house as they felt very welcome by Denise. She always seemed to have a desire to help those in need like the young mother of a small child, for which she helped her out, and took her anywhere she may need to go. 
As Bradley and Brenda became adults, Denise went to then work as a security person at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Her co-workers often referred to her as the "Captain" as she was always willing to take charge of things there on the job. Hockey was the big event thing, and Denise got her niece Jennifer, and sister Cindy hooked on this game of Hockey. 
Denise always had great fun strolling the beaches looking for seashells and/or cute rocks. She also like being out in the wilderness enjoying the peace and tranquility amongst the whispering trees and rushing creeks. Hawaii was also a very favorite place for Denise as well.
Denise became a cancer victim, and even though she had it in remission for a while, it came back and she chose to not have any further chemo treatments. She went along her merry way doing the things she like until she finally lost her battle. 
We, the family, along with her beloved friends will all remember the wonderful things she did for others in her lifetime. Such a sweet sister, she is still in our hearts. Rest in peace now my dear sister, as you are in a much better place there with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My dear sister Denise passed away on 7/18/17, at the age of 61 to her battle with cancer. Only 20 days after losing my dear brother Brent at the age of 66 to a heart attack. Denise was the best sister anyone could ever have. She was my best friend. We did so many things together. There are lots of great times and memories to remember forever. Denise was the best  aunt to my daughter, always involved in doing many things  and taking her on many adventures.  She was a caretaker for our Mom and spent many days and hours with her. Also Denise was always there for anybody who ever needed her help. Going to miss all the fun and crazy times we all had together. We love her so much, and will forever miss her.     REST IN HEAVEN my sister Denise.      Love you always!!!!!

Sorry, I got so caught up in the memories of Denise and country music and Lake Tahoe, I failed to sign my name.

Denise was a friend and colleague when we both worked at San Bernardino County, both fresh out of high school. We had many driving adventures in the "cranny" mobile, and took trips up to Tahoe and Joshua Tree on the weekends. She taught me how to make flour tortillas from scratch, and we drank frozen limeade margaritas to wash them down. I'll never forget Denise, and will cherish the memories!

My Aunt Denise was one of the most positive people I have ever known. I will always remember when she would watch me over my summer breaks, while my dad was at work. We would go to Lytle Creek in her El Camino and catch tadpoles in Martinelli"s Apple Cider jars. We would do arts and crafts while drinking Constant Comment sweet tea. She always had to take time out to watch "All My Chill-Chill's" (All My Children). I will always remember going to the beach and bringing home buckets of rocks and shells for various projects. I owe my love for the Anaheim Ducks and hockey, in general, to her. I will do my best to emulate her positive outlook on just about everything. But, those are big shoes to fill. I love you, Denise.

To the Crane family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  What a great loss.  I have many fond memories of when we were kids on 3rd street.  Much love!  ❤

It was a big loss for the world on the 18th.  Denise was a great mother, very  loving, caring and outgoing. Especially under sometimes, trying and difficult circumstances.  Great sense of humor, always optimistic, charismatic,  she was always fun to be around.

I will miss u Denise. I remember as young cousins swimming and playing together. Even though we loss touch as adults, I will always cherish the memories as cousins. Love, Debra crane-Boden.

Denise taught me how to be happy.. Always turned my mood around when I was feeling down.. Positive, uplifting.. All the good stuff :-) She once sensed I was sad and told me "C'mon Jeff let's be happy.., it's better than being sad"".. she made good sense.. I always remember that..

Denise Cheryl Crane Mendrick was the most strongest, fun loving, adventurous lady I knew. She would bring light into a room, She taught me so much and she would always tell me "I think I can I think I can I think I can". I remember the time we set up a tent in her front yard and we camped out there. And when she took me to my first hockey game, when we went to Hawaii a few times and when we camped on the beach and took the morning train to the beach sometimes on the weekends. Many many memories with Denise that I will never forget, she will be missed so much by so many. She is the best aunt in the world ❤ rip Denise Cheryl Crane Mendrick

Obviously it's been a long time coming but the wait still didn't dull the pain of losing my "little sister". Her suffering was our suffering and thank the Lord her's has come to an end. She'll forever be remembered for her kindness, always wanting to help other people and her devotion to her children. Forever in my heart till the day the Lord calls my name. You were loved by so many and gave so much in return. The love I have for you will never perish.

To Brenda and Brad and the entire Crane family, I send by deepest sympathies. My fondest memories of Denise was when we were in our early teens, driving around listening to music and being completely surprised by Denise's love for female country singers. Suddenly country music was cool because, well, Denise was cool! My other unforgettable memory was the time Denise talked me into rowing out onto Lake Tahoe in Art Heard's little fishing boat (without permission, of course). Before we knew it we were drifting out so far that no amount of rowing could get us back. We had to be towed back! Luckily Art had a disposition much like Brent's, you knew he was a bit angry, mostly disappointed, but we were quickly forgiven. RIP Denise!
