January 29, 1938 - January 6, 2025
Dora (Cano) Yzaguirre, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Redlands, California, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Los Angeles, California, on January 29, 1938, Dora graduated from Colton High School in 1957, where she married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Yzaguirre. Together, they shared 67 beautiful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to their family.
Dora had a deep love for cooking and took great joy in hosting family and friends, always making her home a place of warmth and laughter. She loved camping and embraced every family function, showing up to support everyone’s dreams and aspirations with her unconditional love. However, nothing was more important to her than family. She is survived by her children, Gilbert Jr. (Maury), Lisa Caldera (Bob), and Jeff (Lubna); her cherished grandchildren, Gilbert III, Lauren, Morgann, Hannah, Jared, Amber, Austin, Megan, Aman, Laila, and Saba; and her great-grandson, Julian. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Yzaguirre, parents, Emiliano and Julia Cano, grandson, Alec Yzaguirre, and brothers, Bob and Manuel Cano.
A proud member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Dora spread her love for God through her actions, teaching her family the values of kindness, faith, and devotion. Her warmth, humor, and enduring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We celebrate her life and rejoice in her reunion with her beloved husband, Gilbert Yzaguirre.
