Hello my name is James but you also might know me as Jimmy. I am Rubens son in law. I am honored and privileged to be called son by him.
When I met Ruben I was a 29 year old young man trying to find his way in this life that I was living. He excepted me for who I was.
He helped me and set me in the right direction. When I became a manager at Burger King I had to start wearing a dress shirt and a tie. I had no idea how to tie a tie. With the help from Ruben he taught me how to tie a tie. The few months i got to live with him was some of the best times I had with him. Our times going to get autographed photos of all time great raiders players. Going to Oakland to see the raiders play. Watching football on Sundays and seeing our raiders play on tv. Our conversations about how much the raiders had to improve either for there up coming game or for there draft in April. You would think that he was the GM and i was the coach. Even after we moved out our conversations about our team would not stop, In person or a phone call or by text. It was the little things like that that can mean the world to someone. Ruben is an inspiration to me, he was a big influence on me. Hes my mentor Thank you for molding me into the man I am today. I love you Ruben you will always be with me in mind body and spirit.
