

Faye was the oldest of eleven children. She graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California. She continued her education and enrolled in law school. She worked for Greyhound Bus Services for over 20 years. She also worked for TWA Airlines until they went out of business. She then went to work for Amtrak where she worked for over 25 years and retired as an on-board supervisor.
Faye accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully dedicated her life to Christ. In 2011, Faye joined Greater Love Community Church in Fontana, California under the leadership of her son-in-law Rev. Maurice F. Allmond Sr. Faye was a faithful member of the church and served on the Hospitality and Welcome Committees.
Faye enjoyed her retirement by being involved with her grandsons and serving on the Bloomington High School Booster Club and traveling back and forth to UCLA football games which she loved very much. She also enjoyed working as a crossing guard, and also enjoyed serving as a community grandmother. She loved knitting blankets and cooking for others.
On January 20, 2019, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ decided to taker her home to glory.
Faye is proceeded in death by her parents Thurman P. Reed Sr., and Mattie L. Reed, one grandfather Arklo Reed, two grandmothers Madella Reed and Viola Jones, three siblings: Thurman Reed Jr., Brenda C. Reed and just recently Linda K. Reed, one nephew Krystopher Jackson, one niece: Vickie Martin.
Faye is survived by her son Alexander Finister, her daughter Sharon Allmond, one son-in-law, Rev. Maurice F. Allmond Sr., her grandchildren: JaNay Garner, Nakesha Finister, Jayson Allmond, Maurice Allmond Jr., Faith Finister, Joshua Allmond, Jeremiah Finister, and Jacob Finister, two great granddaughters: Jalia Williams and Skye Carson and one great grandson: Josiah Allmond, five sisters: Charlean Taylor, Patsy Scruggs, Millicent Reed, Olivia Reed, and Karen Reed, two brothers: Charles Reed and Fredrick Reed, one goddaughter: Sophia Yvette Drake, sixteen nieces, ten nephews, nine great nieces and twelve great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Faye will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Montecito Valley View Chaepl, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, California. A chapel service will occur Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, California. An interment will occur Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, California.
