

Fregia Sinco Fabruada beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt reached the nonagenarian age of 91. Her last day was on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her four children and extended family. She entered the world on January 09, 1935 at Bais Philippines.
Fregia was preceded in death by her dear husband Dave Teves Fabruada, by her parents Eustacio A. and Perseveranda R. Sinco, by her brothers Samuel Sinco and Reynaldo Sinco, and by her grandson Bryce Beals.
Fregia is survived by her children Debbie Ann Beals, Nanette (Todd) Pittenger, Dave C. Fabruada, and Jean (Kala) Crow; eight grandchildren Kyle (Sara) Beals, Keane Beals, Nicholas Pittenger, Kameron (Katrina) Beals, Taylor (Caleb) Henry, Nathan (Emma) Pittenger, Kainoa Crow, and Jaiden Crow; two great-grandchildren Daniel Montoya and Ira Beals; sisters Molly (‘Tito’) Genobaga, Judith (Lowell) Teves and brother “Jun” Eustacio Sinco Jr.
Fregia was raised in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. She trained and worked at ‘Manila San’. This was where she met Dave T. Fabruada. He was visiting his friends that worked there and he saw her. She was not interested…yet. It would take time…and then. They would marry on June 01, 1958 and have four children.
Fregia and Dave T. started their home in the Metro Manila area of the Philippines. She taught herself to cook after marriage. Her tasty food was a highlight of their many parties. They would raise their family in Chicago, Illinois and later in Grand Terrace, California. They were married until his passing on December 12, 2002.
Fregia was a retired R.N. She worked NOC shifts throughout her career; and served in the roles of charge nurse, head nurse and supervisor. She attended Mountain View College and Philippine Union College in the Philippines. She was a Captain in the ROTC, where she developed her leadership skills. Her nursing program was at Manila Sanitarium and Hospital, where she would later work. She would then train at a New Jersey hospital and at a Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at Cook County and then returned to ‘Manila San’, She then went back to Cook County for a short time. She worked at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for twelve years. She retired from Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California after twenty years.
Fregia was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist faith by her father who was the area pastor and her devout mother. Her elementary, high school and college education were through the Adventist school system; all of her children would also attend Adventist schools. In the Philippines, she sang in a trio with her sister Molly. She was a Sabbath School teacher and pianist for the Primary class and sang at North Shore SDA church in Chicago, Illinois. She also sang in the choir there and at the previous churches that she attended. At her passing, she was a member of Azure Hills SDA church in Grand Terrace, California. She now lays in rest awaiting the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
