

Gilbert Yzaguirre, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Redlands, California, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Colton, California, on March 7 1938, Gilbert graduated from Colton High School in 1957 and remained deeply rooted in his community throughout his life. He shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dora (Cano) Yzaguirre. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to family. Gilbert pursued a variety of careers, including owning two Texaco gas stations with automotive shops, working at Sears for 25 years in automotive sales and management, and later finding joy in real estate while managing his rental properties. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Dora: his children, Gilbert Jr. (Maury), Lisa Caldera (Bob), and Jeff (Lubna); his cherished grandchildren, Gilbert III, Lauren, Morgann, Hannah, and Jared, Amber, Austin, Megan, Aman, Laila and Saba; and his great-grandson, Julian. He is preceded death by his parents, Timothy and Mary Yzaguirre, his grandson, Alec Yzaguirre, brothers, Percy and Alfred Yzaguirre. A man of deep faith, Gilbert was a proud member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where he shared his love for God and with everyone around him, especially his family. His warmth, kindness and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his lifelong sweetheart, Dora.
