

Grace was born on July 9, 1932 in Canton, China to Stamford Wong Shan Shou and Susanna Wong Lo Pooi Yan. Her family emigrated to Penang, Malaysia in 1939 due to the Sino-Japanese war. Grace was educated at the Penang Adventist Primary School, St. George's Girl's Secondary School, Melbourne University and Sydney University. While Grace initially thought she would pursue a career in medicine, she quickly discovered that she could not tolerate the sight of blood and decided to become a teacher instead.
Grace married Jin Long Koh in 1959 and they were blessed with three sons, Wui-Jin, Wui-Teng and Wui-Leong. The family moved from Penang to Singapore in 1966. Grace taught high school (general science and math) in Penang, Port Dickson and Singapore. Grace and her family emigrated to the United States in 1978. While in the US, she became a realtor, ran a restaurant, and was very active in her Loma Linda Chinese Church community.
Grace is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jin Long, three sons, Wui-Jin (Judy/deceased and Terry), Wui-Teng (Karrie) and Wui-Leong (Rowena) and six grandchildren, Allyson (Samuel), Alexander, Madelyn, Julia (Ben), Isabella and Sophia.
A visitation for Grace will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. A Celebration of Life will follow from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A committal service will occur immediately after from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loma Linda Chinese Church.
