To my father in heaven. As I sit here and think our complete Vasquez family has now all reunited in Heaven together. You now Rest In Peace with your parents (My Grandparents), and your 3 brothers and sister now in addition to several cousins. I pray for all of you and ask for the strength and guidance you all had provided throughout my life. Now who are left are myself, your nephew and your only grand daughter who you admired so much the day she was born. She loves her Papa and though she was young, remembers you well and your blue truck and treating her to ice cream. We share pictures with her every chance we get and she sees how me you and mom were always together in our home, our memories and as a family for many years and no one can take those memories away from us. Hello My Tio,

     My Tio with your big heart and caring concern for everyone you loved and who were important to you in your life time. I know that there was so much that you still wanted to do. So much love to share, things you wanted to learn, talks you would have liked to have, beautiful and inspirational sights of our world you would have liked to be able to see. Complements that you wanted to give to your loved ones.  We all felt your caring and you love.  Please believe me Tio, you are here with us in our hearts and our prayers. You had such a giant personality.  Literally, I could feel you wanting to let me know how much that you wanted to say hello to me or others or give us a loving embrace.  Tio, you honestly were so kind and happy to be alive.  Some people may have thought, how can this man be so cheerful and talkative every time I see him?  Is he usually like this?  Is this an act he is putting on?  As I heard from your wife Noreen, your other family members and your friends, yes you were very consistent with your daily love, energy, desire and hope for each new day.  That was our Jess.  Tio, there are not many people that I have met with souls that hold as much optimism or love for others as you did.  You had the kind of joy or hope that is so sincere, similar as it is with a young child.  You were able to hold on to that passion your entire life.  That is a beautiful part of who you were Tio.  It is very difficult to know that you were not here on your birthday yesterday.  So much strength and many prayers are being sent to heaven for you Tio.  God hears our prayers for you Tio.  I ask him if he can please embrace you, nurture your gentle soul and please provide you with peace.  That he may allow you to send prayers to your loved ones as well.  I think if you can at all, you are trying to help protect and give hope and love to those living who are so dear to you.  I pray that God's peace may comfort those closest to your daily life each day.  Especially,on special days for you as it is now, our first birthday weekend with out you here with us.  Tio, you are no longer physically with us, yet spiritually you remain with us stronger than ever.  This was a very special birthday weekend in your honor Tio.  You were missed by so many. My dear beloved husband, Jess. It is so hard for me to write and think that you are really gone. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and our loving relationship we had together. I miss your morning kisses and you saying "Good Morning My Wife". I can't bear to get up in the morning knowing that you're not next to me anymore. I miss you so much my love. At times I can still hear your voice and the wonderful conversations we had every day. I miss how we were always together holding hands whether we went shopping, out to dinner, the movies, every where. If I wasn't in front of you, I was in the back of you.  If you weren't in front of me, you were always in the back of me. I miss the closeness and bond we shared in our precious years together. Our grandchildren miss you so much too. When they come over they go into your study looking for you and get sad that your not there sitting in your recliner. We say a prayer for you, hoping you hear us.  Remember you always said you wanted to take care of me? You still are my love. Thank you for everything. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven. We will again share many more wonderful, loving times.

Jess, wow I couldn't believe it when they told me you had passed on. Heaven's bells must be ringing as you enter those golden gates welcoming you.  You are such a gentle soul and always showed your love and concern for all you met.  Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed.

This has been difficult for me... I still can't believe you're gone. I can sit here and write so many good things about you that I would be here all night. I'm so grateful for you and that you came into our lives when you did. You and my mom were so happy together. Your kindness was contagious and I will never forget all the stories you would tell us. Tio Jess, I will miss your smiling eyes,big smile and your waving hand ready to greet me hello every time I saw you.  No matter where you were in a room or around the house you would go out of your way to come and give me a hug, tell me how beautiful of a niece I was and ask me how had I been.  You truly cared to know how I was.  You cared about so many people. Tio, you had a great voice.  So warm, full,strong and caring.  You gave such great hugs.  I love you very much.  Thank you taking time to visit with me and show interest in any little thing that I ever had to say.  You were never too busy to spend a few minutes with me whenever I was with you.  I enjoyed seeing you study and learning new things in your home office.  You made learning look like fun.  You knew so many facts about so many things.  You always had some interesting new fact to share with me.  You would tell me that you enjoyed learning and there was always new ways to improve your mind.  Yet, you had to work very hard to keep up with what was current. Santa Fe was very lucky to have you as an employee.  You took so much pride in your job.  It really helped Martha that you were so strong in math.  Tio, I am going to tell Rhiana every little story that I can remember from growing up with you.  She is going to miss her Papa very much.  I pray that God blesses you with love, peace and joy. God is very lucky to have such a dedicated,very smart new angel ready to help heaven be a happier place.  I hope that you can once again be reunited with your mom Fina and your dad Jimmy.  Also that you can visit and share peace and love with Ashley.  If you can Tio, please find my mom too.  Oh boy, she may be showing you the ropes of heaven already.  If she can, I am sure that she has you laughing already.  I liked hearing you and my mom laugh together.  I hope you can do so again now.  I hope that God will allow all of you to be able to help pray for Rhiana as she grows and experiences the different years of her youth. I promise Tio, I will take a picture of you to all of the big events in Rhiana's life.  I know that you will look after Martha and Rocky. And all those that you love and care for here on earth.  You had such a big heart Tio, everyone you cared for will forever be able to feel your love.  You were such a proud father.  Yes, I agree with you.  Your daughter is very beautiful and smart.  She has worked very hard and she has learned much of that work ethic from you. Every January 31, I will think of you and wish you a happy birthday.  I know you always told me not to eat too much sugar, yet on your birthday I still will...I will sing you happy birthday and perhaps I will learn a new fact and ask God to share it with you on your birthday each year.  Martha and I can think happy memories and thoughts for you on your birthday each year.  Your birthday will forever be special to me.  Now, Dec.1 will forever be special too.  It is the day that God took you home to be with him.  I know this is very sad for us because we will all miss you.  I am so sorry that you had to leave us early.  I hope that your spirit is full of peace and joy now for all eternity.  That is what I pray for you.  I know that you would not want us to remain sad for too long.  Yet, instead be joyful and share that joy in our prayers and messages to you.  Tio, I will love your daughter, Rhiana and Rocky forever.
