Johnny is survived by his wife, Delia, his five children, Janette, Marlene, Veronica, Juan and Danny, three son in-laws, Rodney, Jesse, Javier, two daughter in-laws, Yolis and Miranda, and his twelve grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa, Jacob, Johnny, Isabelle, Emily, Jesse Jr., Andrew, Sienna, Samantha, Elizabeth and Sebastian.
Johnny married the love of his life, Delia on July 29, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Redlands, CA. They moved from San Bernardino to San Jose, CA where their first daughter was born. They then relocated to San Diego, CA where they had 4 more children and raised their family there. In 1992 Johnny & Delia relocated again with their family to Riverside County where he lived out the rest of his life. They saw all their children get married and have children of their own. Johnny & Delia were the greatest example of true love, honor and respect.
Johnny was the kind of person who could win others over easily. A concrete communicator, he relied on his senses to increase his involvement and awareness of others. He was always able to provide amusing repartee to his friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories. If Johnny had a theme song written about him, it might well have been “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember John Linares.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.montecitomemorialparkandmortuary.com for the Linares family.
