A beautiful light has gone out on earth to shine even brighter in heaven. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juanita Gutierrez on October 14, 2024, at the age of 86. Juanita was born in 1938 in Jalisco, Mexico to Antonio and Felicitas.

She married her beloved husband, Rosendo in 1959. They were married 48 years and raised 9 children in Colton Ca. Juanita was known for her strong will, unwavering de-termination, selflessness, and love and support for her family and community. Along with her husband, she was a devout Catholic and very involved in the ministry to the elderly in her church. She loved to sing and dance and being outdoors with her birds and flower garden.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Felicitas; husband Rosendo; son Johnny and granddaughter Francine

Juanita is survived by two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Chendo Gutierrez (Deanne), Tony Gutierrez (Brandy); six daughters and five son-in-laws, Betty Gutierrez, Ofelia Rector (Dave), Sylvia O'Malley (Sean), Lydia Harjehausen (Scott), Cecilia Bec-cacio (George) Raquel Rocha (Chach); sister Florentina; brothers Ramon and Francisco; she is survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Affectionately known as Abuelita or Grandma Nita, she is survived by her twenty-one grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom adored her and will forever cherish the special moments they shared.

Juanita's final resting place will be at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary.
