

Leonard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle Born on January 10, 1957 in Germany, he dedicated his life to serving others. He was a veteran of the Air Force and also served in the California Department of Corrections. After retiring from corrections, he began to serve the youth of the community as a substitute teacher.
Leonard possessed a light-hearted nature that endeared many to him. Integrity and dedication would be the two words that describe him best. He was a loyal friend to everyone and had an incredible ability to see the good in everyone. His life of service touched so many lives, even many that are the forgotten members of our society.
Leonard loved his family deeply and actively worked to bring the extended family together as often as possible. He was very embracing to his family and always had an open-door policy for any family members in need.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his two sons, William and Michael, his daughter-in-law, Mallorie, and two grandchildren, Emma and Myles. Leonard was blessed with a 36 year marriage, two children and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Kyung (Dottie) Pomfret, and siblings, Debbie Dunn, David Pomfret, Gary Pomfret and Teresa Dean.
Leonard is preceded in death by his father, John and his oldest brother, John.
A memorial service for Leonard will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Montecito's Valley View Chapel, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324. Following the memorial service will be a committal service from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324.
Following the services, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a separate location. We encourage everyone to join us and tell your favorite stories about your time with Leonard.
