With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria de Jesus Velasco, who was born on November 11, 1972, in San Miguel de la Sierra, Jalisco, Mexico, and entered eternal rest on November 26, 2025, at the age of 53, in Perris, California, surrounded by those who loved her most.
Maria was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was the devoted wife of Jose Luis Velasco and the loving mother of Byanka Velasco, Luis Velasco, Mark Velasco, and Richard Velasco. She was the proud and adoring grandmother to Isabell, Liam, and Leilani, who brought her endless joy.
Maria came to the United States at just 16 years old with dreams, determination, and an unwavering work ethic. She began working at a leather cleaners and through years of hard work and perseverance eventually became a proud business owner of her own dry cleaning establishment. Her life was a living example of resilience, sacrifice, and the power of never giving up.
Above all else, Maria was a woman of immense love and generosity. She helped everyone in whatever way she could and expected nothing in return. Her heart was open to all, and her kindness knew no limits.
She will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, unforgettable laugh, and beautiful spirit. Maria was always positive, funny, and deeply loving. She found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family and showing her love through cooking her children’s favorite meals.
A devoted Catholic woman of faith, Maria lived her life anchored in God’s love. Even through her long and difficult battle with cancer, her faith never wavered. She fought with remarkable strength, grace, and courage until the very end. Her strength is truly commendable and continues to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Maria’s legacy is one of unconditional love, selflessness, faith, perseverance, and joy. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her love will live forever in the hearts of her family and all who loved her.
