Norma Jean Owen

Mrs. Norma Owen passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 in her home in Orangevale California at the age of 93. Norma was married to the love of her life Edward Owen for sixty five years, before his passing in July 2010. Norma was a kind, gentle and loving woman who will be greatly missed by her three daughters: Janice McMillan, Elita Johnston and La Donna Hurtado.

Norma worked as a homemaker in raising her three daughters before going to work for Loma Linda Foods where she worked in packaging and cannery for 20 years.

Norma cherished her grandchildren, Kathleen, Teresa, Michael, Shad, Zachary, Chantal and Joshua. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Eddie, Christopher, CarlyAnn, Ezekiel, Zoe, Isaac, Alfonso and Octavio. Norma is survived by her cousins Eugene Knight, Jamesie Knight, Melba Knight Husted and Bonnie Knight Schneider, and nieces and nephews, Jim Hill, John Clark, Bobby Clark, Marsha Clark Todd, Julie Clark Salmon and host of relatives and friends.

A celebration of Norma’s life will take place on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Valley View Chapel at Montecito Mortuary located at 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, California 92324 (909) 825-3024. A reception will follow the burial in the hospitality room at 12:00 pm.
