Today is a one year anniversary of the passing of Patricia Hinojosa our Sister,  Daughter, Mother, Grandma and Auntie, Cousin and  Friend to all. I can only imagine the conversations she has had with all of those that have gone before us what a wonderful place to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ may we all look forward to this Miracle that God has Promised us who believe. My dearest friend Patricia, with a heavy heart I write these words... how can it be that you are no longer here my friend? I will miss You  so very much, but you have earned your heavenly calling and wings from the Most High Our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.  So unexpected and far too earlier to depart from this earthly place, but in a better place with God the Father.  From junior high school to graduation day and throughout these many years we have known each other joys, laughters and sorrows we shared together will always be remembered forever. We met as teenagers at Pacific High School, and I had recently told you that our genuine friendship was even more precious with each passing year. During the worst illness of my life last year, you sent me the most beautiful & uplifting prayers and gave me the vision of us drawing from your Bucket List and going to Spain together once I was well! 

Patsy, you embodied what the true meaning of "friend" is! I will always cherish the "crown" charm you gave me just 6 months ago at our annual Christmas get-together; you said we should both have one.
With a broken heart and yet a smile on my face, I am comforted knowing that you now have been crowned Queen of God´s Angels by the Almighty!

Life is not always fair and especially in times as now
And we have to try and make sense out of it when it just feels senseless to us at the moment.
Am sure that’s how you all may feel now with the sudden loss of Patricia. 

I believe that Music can be important to us and help to  provide some meaning and also provide a special place in our hearts and mind. Oria, Rachel and David can a test to it in having been subjected in listening to all the music I played in the car over the years with them.

One example i believe that can help to heal emotions and can hopefully bring some  peace of mind in this time of sorrow, and that’s from an old song by the Byrds, Turn Turn Turn, the song  was a taken from a verse from the Book of Ecclesiastes.
The song and the Biblical verse says “There is a time for every season and for every purpose under heaven, a time to be born a time to die a time for sorrow a time for laughter

So let us turn to celebrate Patricia’s life for the good and joy she gave in her life. 
Especially to her three loving children Grand children and to all of her family members and friends.

My favorite thing about Patricia was the way she always made me feel! Rachel brought me home from our new job at Victorias Secret and it was like I became a part of her family. Big warm hugs and LOTS AND LOTS of laughs! Thanksgivings, graduations, birthdays, weddings! And always the best, most genuine conversations! Patricia always made me feel welcome, always made me feel valued and never let a moment pass to tell you she was proud of you! You will be missed so much….but your legacy of kindness, warmth and love lives on thru your 3 beautiful kids💗💗💙! 

Patricia had a light that shined so bright. From the moment I met her,  I felt like I had known her my entire life. Love and light sweet Patricia….

That smile that I will never forget, I loved bringing it to light through the silliest of humor, or the just an amazing experience, that we would all share, she loved her family. She loves the Lord she brought peace and understanding never judging, I felt safe, I felt loved from this amazing woman, with the most amazing smile of innocence and joy, there’s so much we shared there’s so much more I wanted to share I will think of her deeply, and always make her smile and proud. She has created the most amazing family, and I feel blessed to be a part of. ❤️

I was able to take my Auntie to see Stevie Nicks at the Hollywood Bowl this past October. This was such a special night not only because I was going to finally see Stevie Nicks but I had the best date in the whole wide world, my Auntie! We sang, danced and had a wonderful time underneath the Hollywood stars. I will always cherish this night and be grateful that I was able to share it with her. I love you auntie 😘😘

From the moment the twins and I became friends, Pat welcomed me into her home and brought me in as her own.  She always greeted me with open arms and a warm hug.  I will always remember her beautiful smile and gentle voice.  The way she took time to listen and pray for me was so very special.  What a blessing it was to have her in my life.  

My heart is completely devastated for all of you .. Sending you my continued prayers and strength.. May God lift you up at this most difficult time.. 

I have so many amazing memories with Patricia and her beautiful family.  I met the twins in 4th grade in elementary school.   I spent many days and hours visiting there home.  Pat loved taking us all to church and getting us involved in the youth programs there, it was important to her to keep us close to God and to recieve his message.  I always admired her for so many beautiful qualities.. Her compassion,  huge heart and loyalty to everyone she knew.  I was blessed to have had such an amazing role model and loving mother figure in my life.. Thank you for so sharing your love of God with me Pat, for showing me unconditional love and always treating me like one of your own.  You left us all with beautiful memories that we will carry in our hearts forever .

She managed my mother's finances for decades and was very sympathetic to the challenges of working with an elder whose mental acuity was waning...she even took my mom out for business lunches at McDonald's (per Mom's preference)! Sending comfort to all who loved and worked with her...her loss will be felt in a big way.

Peggy and I are shocked and heartbroken! We had so much in common, both from the Westside, telling stories about the old Mt. Vernon days. Always encouraging and supporting us. Great financial advisor and a great and true friend. Our lunch visits were long and we loved to make Patricia laugh. Oh that laugh! She was proud of what we accomplished and celebrated our success like a true friend would. We are honored and blessed to have had Patricia in our lives for so many years. Patricia, will we need annuities and 401k's or should we bring just cash? I can hear that laugh. We love and miss you friend.

She was always ready to go and try something new. I still hear the excitement in her voice and the look of joy on her face. She let us know, as long as she was with one of her children, she was her most content and happy, when in fact,  she consistently provided that ten-fold for us💞

I’m so grateful we were able to be together to celebrate your birthday in Aspen during 4th of July and we were blessed to experience the  Downtown Parade in our own way…on our own Float💞

You and your grandkids loved to be silly and laugh together. You were such a wonderful, loving, kind Grandmother. They will miss you, your delicious food, your inside jokes and picking oranges from your orange tree to make fresh oj with you. 

This photoshoot was taken less than 2 months before you left to Heaven. It was so beautiful…our hugs, looking into each others eyes smiling it was so incredibly loving. We both felt the connection of our Spirits wholeheartedly. I treasure the pictures from this photoshoot because time stood still for us to connect and put our busy lives on hold to just have these moments with each other.

You were truly an Angel here on Earth. I know I will see you again in Heaven but my heart is broken. I miss you, our conversations, texts, hugs...just hearing your voice was so comforting. I love you with all my heart. Thank you for being a true example of what unconditional love looks and feels like. God Blessed us with you for our Mom. Thank you for all your sacrifices you made for us growing up and being a beautiful example (inside and out) for us and consistently showing us what a Mother’s Love is all about.

Just like so many others, we thought of Patricia as more than our financial advisor (for over 22 years!) I, especially (Sue) thought of her as my friend. We laughed, we exchanged recipes, she talked about “her girls”, her son, her grandchildren, her “social” life….politics...and oh yes! Our finances!
Ernesto and I are  both so heart broken to hear of her passing. Our sincere sympathy to  her family, that  she so  adored ,and selfishly  for us ...as we too---will miss our conversations, her sage advice... and her laughter.
