

Paul was born in Wisconsin to Paul and Ruth Egle and was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. He attended Custer High School before serving 2 years in the Army National Guard. His unit was called up during the Cuban Missile Crisis and he was stationed in Tacoma, Washington. When he returned from duty in 1962, he met his future wife, Linda Anderson, at a wedding. They were married a year later. After working a few jobs, he joined the Air Force in October of 1967 and proudly served his country for 19 years. His duty stations included Turkey, Taiwan, Germany, Korea and many Midwestern states. Paul retired from the Air Force in 1986 at the rank of master sergeant. He worked several jobs including Motorola, the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. He retired in January of 2006 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in September of that year. Paul and Linda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November of 2013. Paul is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Pamela Sweeney; son Christopher and his wife Julie; son Patrick and his wife Michelle; grandchildren Sean, Kayla, Kate, and Joel; sister Ardyth Roloff and brother Keith Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers, Dennis and Richard Wood.
