Pete Arroyos Duarte

April 28, 1930. He went home to be with the Lord peacefully while at home

on December 30, 2014, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Rosa B Duarte;

his only son Luis J Duarte and daughter in law, Shirley A Duarte; his three

grandchildren Sandra Rutledge and Ryan Lea, Christy and Francisco

Ramirez and Jose L Duarte; seven great grandchildren Alicia Rutledge,

Christopher Duarte-Ramirez, Christina Rutledge, David Rutledge, Anna

Ramirez, Gabriella Rutledge and Ryan Lea Jr.; his eight siblings Celia

Cardoza, Manuel Duarte, Maggie Snow, Lupe Casares, Joe Duarte, Frank

Duarte, David Duarte, Marylou Basaldua and his two doggies Goldie and

Cuddles

He was one of nine children born to Manuel and Angelita Duarte. Pete was

a very proud patriot/ Korean War combat veteran and belonged to the 82nd

Airborne (187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team Association,

Rakkasan). He was an usher/ greeter and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady

of Assumption church and a 4th degree knight of the Knights of Columbus.

His passion was working with wood and restoring furniture. You could

always find him working in his workshop and he enjoyed going to the flea

market and taking his dogs for walks.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
