Lolo Tatay was my second Father when I was on my 4th yr Dental Student in the Philippines since my parents were in the USA.  I am the 2nd of his apo and I always tell him that I’m his favorite and the prettiest and he will just laugh. Last Thursday when we visited him I reminded him again and he nodded his head and smile in agreement but last Saturday he just closed his eyes, I guessed he doesn’t want to see my “prettiest face” or he just want to remember me.  
I’ll miss you Lolo so much . See you on the blessed resurrection morning.

I was a ministerial worker in the Mountain Provinces Mission (MOM) from mid-1970s to early 1980s. Mr. & Mrs. Malit were frequent visitors in the mission. They would go there and give their tithes and offerings for the work in the mission. They would go home to Olongapo loaded with the gratitude of the workers of MPM and with vegetables from Baguio and other tokens of appreciation. Mr. Malit would also go to the mission during workers’ meetings and measure suits and barongs for the workers. He was the one who made my first suit while I was in MPM. How could I ever forget? Such a generous man. He will always be remembered.

I remember taping a Lakers game for Lolo  because he said he won’t be able to watch it live since it’s a Saturday.  But the best was our visit before he died. I told him this is Noralee your eldest apo... he opened his eyes and just looked at me. 
I am also happy and proud because the picture that will be used for the memorial service was the one I took when his granddaughter got married.  His smile is PRICELESS. 
Lolo,  you will be sorely missed. Rest for now and see you on that great resurrection morning.
