Rachel was born on November 27, 1999, in Orange County, California, where she spent her formative years. She was pursuing a degree in Crime Scene Investigation, while also caring for the needs of animals, as a Veterinary Assistant.
Rachel leaves a legacy of growth and love behind in the many young women she spiritually mentored and the fellow young married couples with whom she and her husband, Troy, regularly met for fellowship and Bible studies. Along with her husband, Rachel helped coordinate projects that served the poor and needy throughout Riverside. Rachel had a childlike, lighthearted personality and enjoyed drawing, coloring, watercolor painting and anime art.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Troy, her mother, Iris, her stepfather, Ramiro, as well as many beloved extended family members within the Lopez and Plummer families. She was also a devoted Pet Mom to her dogs, Tulip and Morty, as well as her cat, Sushi, all rescue animals.
The name “Rachel” traditionally signifies “one with purity” and is represented in meaning by a “ewe,” or female sheep. Isaiah 40:11 tells us that God “will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom...” As Rachel, with her pure soul, is gathered to her Good Shepherd in Heaven, we are left with her life example of deep, thoughtful kindness and a gentle, hopeful, spirit to emulate. Rachel loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, deeply and made living out the wisdom of the Bible part of her daily life. It is “for sures,” as Rachel might say, that she is now at peace in the green pastures and still waters her Good Shepherd, Jesus, has guided her to.
