Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Raul moved to Texas at a young age. He then moved to Colton / Bloomington in 1940 where he resided until 2003, when the family re-located to Beaumont. Raul is survived by his children, Al Celaya – El Cajon – Andy Celaya – Whittier, Irma Wozniak – Beaumont, Raul Olivas – Oro Grande, Gloria Munoz – Phoenix, AZ, Sandra Olivas – Beaumont, Jamie Olivas – Beaumont. Survived by 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren.
Raul served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Forces; he worked at Riverside Cement for over 30 years; he was an avid golfer and Dodger fan. He also played the guitar and serenaded his wife.
