

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Connie Granillo and their sons Paul(Christina) and Carlo(Valerie) and his three grand children Lauren, Nathan and Monica. He is also survived by his brother Sylvester and sister Margaret.
Richard was born April 12, 1936 in Redlands, California to Sylvester and Guadalupe Granillo. Richard was a banker, and worked for United California Bank, First Interstate, Wells Fargo and Valley Bank. After his retirement he was instrumental in the creation of Our Lady Peace Cemetery, and later served as Cemetery Director.
A life long resident of Redlands, Dick was a Rotarian, served on the Redlands YMCA and Redlands Community Hospital Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
Richard was a Korean War Veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In 2008 he and his wife Connie were honored by Pope Benedict XVI with the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (For the Church and the Pontiff) Cross, for their dedication and ministry.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 26th at 11 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Loma Linda with burial to follow immediately at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Colton.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to St. Junipero Serra House of Formation, care of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino.
