Several years passed and she began working for Los Angeles Unified School District for fifteen years as a cafeteria worker but that wasn’t enough for our mother she was such a had worker she begin along with our father, their own maintenance company in Hollywood California. After several years passed, her children now growing up, it was time for relocating, our mother moved to West Covina, California where she transferred districts and began working for Hacienda, La Puente Unified School District as lead cafeteria and supervisor she maintained her duties for further ten years and also still a home maker and mother. Raising at this time, two of the five children, she decided after living in West Covina, California she decided move to Riverside County. She again transferred to begin working for the Moreno Valley Unified School District where she held the position of campus supervisor for ten years and lead kitchen worker. In 2002 this hard working woman of day and night no matter what it took our mother did it…. she decided she wanted to go back to school and she did. In 1999 she begin going to real estate classes for Primerica Financial Services and in 2004 she had graduated receiving her license and certification as a Financial Agent and licensed Public Notary, “awesome mom” we were always so proud of the woman we’ve known all of our life as Mom, highly dedicated, loving provider and always a heart of giving. She retired in 2007 from the school and been residing in Las Vegas, Nevada for eight years she recently developed illness and in 2018 our sister Helena and her husband Terry White moved her back to California to be near her children where we all could care for her and with this, it was the Lords calling on her life, His will was to take His daughter home to be with Him.

OUR MOTHERS LOVE
A MOTHERS LOVE IS SOMETHING THAT NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN
IT IS MADE OF DEEP DEVOTION AND SACRIFICE AND PAIN,
IT IS ENDLESS AND UNSELFISH AND ENDURING
COME WHAT MAY. FOR NOTHING CAN DESTROY IT OR TAKE THAT LOVE AWAY...
IT IS PATIENT AND FORGIVING WHEN ALL OTHERS ARE FORSAKING,
AND IT NEVER FALTERS EVEN THOUGH THE HEART IS BREAKING……..
IT BELIEVES BEYOND BELIEVING, WHEN THE WORLD AROUND CONDEMNS,
AND IT GLOWS WITH ALL THE BEAUTY OF THE RAREST, BRIGHTEST GEMS….
IT IS FAR BEYOND DEFINING, IT DEFIES ALL EXPLANATION, AND IT STILL
REMAINS A SECRET LIKE THE MYSTERIES OF CREATION………
A MANY SPLENDORED MIRACLE
MAN CANNOT UNDERSTAND
AND ANOTHER WONDROUS EVIDENCE
OF GOD’S TENDER GUIDING HAND

FROM DAUGHTER
TO MY MOTHER
BECAUSE I FEEL THAT THE HEAVENS ABOVE
THE ANGELS WHISPERING ONE TO ANOTHER, CAN FIND AMONG THEIR
BURNING TERMS OF LOVE,
NONE AS DEVOTIONAL AS THAT OF “MOTHER LOVE”
THEREORE BY THAT DEAR NAME
I HAVE LONGED TO CALL YOU,
YOU HAVE BEEN MORE THAN A MOTHER UNTO ME,
MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS TOO….
AND FILLED MY HEART OF HEARTS,
WHERE DEATH INSTALLED YOU.
IN SETTING MY SPIRIT FREE.
MY MOTHER –MY OWN MOTHER, WHO DIED
VERY SUDDENLY
WAS BUT THE MOTHER, OF MYSELF; BUT YOU
ARE MY MOTHER TO THE ONE I LOVED SO DEARLY,
AND THUS ARE DEARER THAN THE MOTHER I KNEW
AND THAT INFINITY WITH WHICH MY LIFE
WAS DEARER TO MY SOUL THAT IT’S SOUL-LIFE
TO MY MOTHER: ROBVANIA H. BLAND
