She was a Senior Seamstress at San Bernardino County Hospital for 17 years. She then worked at House of Fabrics and Fabric King for 17 more years, before retiring. Throughout this time she also enjoyed sewing at home for herself and many other people, while also designing, creating and sewing costumes for several ballet folklorico groups. After meeting and getting to know Nana Rosie, many if not all, ended up requesting to claim her as Mom, Grandma, and Nana Rosie. Permission was always granted. Also, she was a member of Chicano Caucus of San Bernardino County for 7 years.
