

Rosemary Ann Nahas, a long-time resident of Walnut, CA, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at the age of 80. Born in New York, New York to Rose A. Veras and Perry G. Veras on March 15, 1945, Mrs. Nahas moved with her husband and four children to Southern California in 1971.
A life-long learner, Mrs. Nahas pursued her education over the decades, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science in 1999 and her Master of Sciences degree in Human Behavior in 2003. Both degrees were received from National University in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Nahas was married on June 5,1965 to Albert P. Nahas. Married for 61 years, they met at a social club for Catholics and were married a short 11 months later. Mrs. Nahas was a fervent and devout Roman Catholic and was committed to her faith throughout her entire lifetime. She and her husband imparted that faith to their four loving children: Mr. Robert T. Nahas, Mrs. Barbara A. Jaurequi, Mr. James J. Nahas, and Mrs. Donna J. Barrack. Mrs. Nahas dedicated her life to her vocation as a wife and mother which came second only to her steadfast devotion to God.
Mrs. Nahas could be described as fun, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and truly charismatic. People were attracted by her warmth, authenticity, and infectious smile. In her profession as a college administrator, she was extremely popular with both staff and students, charming them with her sense of humor, desire to be helpful, and genuineness.
Mrs. Nahas is survived by her husband, four children, their spouses, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her brother, Laurence Veras of Clearwater, FL.
