

Rudy was born to Andres and Carmen Luna in Etiwanda, California. He grew up in Colton along with his brother Robert and sisters Maria Elena and Esther. He graduated from Colton High School. He worked as a Caster for Crane/Colton Wartsila, for over 20 years. He then worked for the Colton Joint Unified School District as a Custodian until his retirement.
Rudy was married to Maria “Mary” for over 53 years until her death in 2019. He is survived by his four daughters, Lisa, Veronica, Tanisha and Marisa, grandsons Kieran and Rowan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rudy enjoyed music, films, reading, following the NFL season and traveling throughout the US and Europe.
In later years, Rudy was unable to physically attend mass but participated remotely every day. He was also especially fond of his dogs and devoted his time to their care.
On Thursday, March 27, 2025, a rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, on La Cadena Drive in Colton at 11am, followed by mass at 11:30am.
A reception will be held after mass at the Knights of Columbus on Pennsylvania Avenue in Colton.
