

Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramos was born in Colton, California on December 27th, 1930. He was the second son of Marcelino Ramos (deceased) and Modesta Colunga (deceased). He was brother to Esther Ramos (deceased). Rudy is survived by his brother, Luis Ramos.
Rudy was raised by his parents at or near his last residence of 194 S. 3rd St., In the city of Colton. It is estimated that he graduated from Colton High School in 1948. He went on to complete approximately a year and a half of extended education in the field of Commercial Art. During this time, Rudy became employed by the JC Penney Company as display artist.
In September of 1950, both Rudy and his brother Luis, enrolled in the United States Army. While serving his country proudly, Rudy earned the ranking of Sergeant as he fought bravely in the Korean War. Ultimately, Rudy earned a honorable discharge in August of 1952.
Upon his return to the city of Colton, Rudy continued to be employed in the retail industry by such businesses as JC Penney and the Harris Company.
In the early to mid 60's, Rudy went in search of economical prosperity to the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is known that he became employed by " Ron Zones " as a Promotional Sales Manager. It is estimated that Rudy lived comfortably in Las Vegas, Nevada until the mid to late 80's. Upon his return to the State of California, Rudy found employment in the private sector and resided in the city of Santa Monica.
He eventually made his return to the city of Colton in 1997. He resided with his mother and sister in his humble home located at 194 S. 3rd St. His sister, Esther became deceased on July 5, 1999. Rudy continued along side his mother Modesta, until her death on June 1, 2006.
Following in his parents ways, Rudy displayed great pride in ownership of his home; as he always ensured that it was properly landscaped and of good appearance. He came to be very fond of cats, as he opened his property gates to several strays providing them with daily meals. Rudy was also an avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan, as he always made an attempt to catch all the games on television.
But mostly, Rudy will be remembered by his friends as a tremendously generous man that used his economical resources to assist those in need.
