Sally was a 1956 graduate of Poly High School in Riverside. She also attended Riverside Community College, where she earned an AA degree, and continued on to business college. She was then employed at several major local banks, including Provident Federal Savings. In the 1980s, Sally and her husband built their concrete business, Joe Encinas Construction, where Sally proudly managed the office. Sally was a numbers gal.
In her younger days, Sally loved going dancing at Rainbow Gardens, where she met her husband. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on May 11th. Sally loved quilting, sewing, shopping, gardening, attending estate sales on “Funday Fridays,” and was always up for a visit to a restaurant of her choice. Sally was so much fun to be around, with a carefree spirit and uplifting personality. She was a loving wife, mom, granny, aunt, sister, companion, and friend.
For the last two years of Sally’s life, she (along with her husband Joe) lived with and was lovingly cared for by her daughter Joann, son-in-law Sergio, and granddaughters Chloe and Melia at their home in Redlands, CA. Sally kept the household on their toes and made the family laugh daily. Sally and her family endured the challenges of her dementia and Alzheimer’s disease together.
Sally is survived by her husband Joe R. Encinas Jr.; her son Adrian Encinas (Sandy); her daughters Rhonda and Joann Encinas (Sergio Camarillo); her grandchildren Andrew (Alli) and Eric Encinas, Hannah and Jack Madden, Chloe and Melia Camarillo; her great-granddaughter Eden Encinas; and Robert and Cameron Duran — along with her beloved “puppy dogs,” Otis and Gustavo
