February 20, 1934 — July 29, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Sara at the
age of 91.
Sara was the heart of our family. A faithful servant of the Lord, she lived
her life guided by love, kindness, and devotion. Her hands were rarely still,
always crafting something beautiful. Whether sewing a quilt or stitching,
her creations were labors of love that wrapped us in comfort and care.
Holidays at her home were legendary — not because of anything grand,
but because of her presence. She made sure every person had a seat at
the table, a full plate of tamales, and a warm hug. Laughter echoed
through the walls as we gathered around for games of Shanghai, where
she often reminded us that family was what mattered most.
She taught us how to love deeply, serve humbly, and show up for one
another — not just on special days, but every day. Her legacy lives on in
the traditions she started, the faith she instilled, and the love she poured
into our lives.
She is reunited now with loved ones who went before her and we find
peace knowing she is home.
She is survived by her husband Tony, daughters Sandra Mastellos, Sharon
LuVisi, Stephanie McCarthy (Neil), Sherry Chetwood (David), and Staci
Croupe (Tom). Her grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Emily, Lizzie,
Jennifer, Danny, Sara, Timothy, Matthew, Lauren, Jessica, and Anthony.
Great-grandchildren, Mason, Hudson, Madison, Carter, Lila, Owen, Taylor,
Sylas, and Prudence, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit forward.
All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate the life
of a truly remarkable Mom and Granny.
