Sharon cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Sharon also had a love of adventure, a contagious sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that could light a room.
At 19 years of age she moved to California, where she married and began her family. She went on to have 10 children, whom she loved deeply.
Sharon was a central figure for her children and was content to be a star in their eyes. Anyone who knew Sharon could see a kind gentle spirit and loving heart. Despite many hardships in her life, she was able to weather the storms gracefully, with a zest for living, and a determination to live her life to the fullest. Her youngest son John calls her a warrior and his best friend—she was to many.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents Rosemary and Joseph Ballard, and her elder brother, Joseph Ballard Jr.
Sharon is survived by her younger brother Charles Ballard, her cousin Rosemary, her 10 children: Talitha, Deanna, Jennifer, Robert, Monica, Jill, Aimee, Christopher, Joelle, and John and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The light she shined on those around her will be dearly missed but will continue to shine from the heavens above.
