Silvestre Ibarra Limones

Silvestre was born on May 23, 1958, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to parents Arturo and Teresa Ibarra. He married Hortencia Ibarra on September 11, 1977. He was a devoted father, grandfather, husband, a loving family man, a loyal friend, and someone whose strength, wisdom, and presence touched everyone around him.

Silvestre spent much of his life dedicated to family, work, and the people he cared for. He was known for his sense of humor, generosity, commitment to hard work, kindness, and toughness. He leaves behind memories and traits he instilled within his family.

Silvestre enjoyed spending time with his family, from gathering together during the holidays to simply conversing about life’s blessings and endeavors. He always grounded the family mentally by advising everyone to “echarle ganas,” meaning to keep pushing forward and give it your all.

He is survived by his wife, Hortencia Ibarra; his four children, Maria, Silvestre, Teresa, and Arturo; and his nine grandchildren: Angel, Nancy, David, Marcos, Rolando, Lizzete, Noemi, Julian, and Maelyn.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Cypress Chapel, 24145 Barton Rd, Loma Linda, CA 92354, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate his life.

Though he is no longer with us physically, his love, strength, and the values he instilled in his family will remain in our hearts forever.
