Stephen Joseph

Stephen was born in the town of Areekara in the state of Kerala, India on January 12, 1940. He holds 2 Masters degrees.

Stephen married Kunjumole (Elizabeth) Joseph (Chakalayil) on July 12, 1973 and moved to the U.S. that year. They lived for 9 and a half years in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Redlands, California. They were married for 40 years.

Stephen was a real estate agent for 15 years before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed traveling, watching movies, reading, spending time with his entire family, and playing with his grandchildren.

Stephen is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his son Jason Joseph, his daughter and son-in-law Sheba (Joseph) and Gary Talamantez, his two grandchildren Elijah and Jase, his brother, Rev. Luke Kollaparambil, his sister Mariyachi Okatt, his nieces and nephews, and multiple family and friends.

The viewing will be held from 5 - 9 p.m. on July 31, 2013 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary. The funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on August 1, 2013 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary.
