Beloved Husband and best friend to his wife Dolores of eleven years. Loving father of Tommy Alcaraz Jr., and Joann Martinez. Proud Grandfather to Joseph Alcaraz, Robert and Isabel Martinez. Cherished brother to Angielina Valdivia, Juanita Alcaraz, Linda Lopez, Virginia Guerrero, Patricia Ward, Georgia Alcaraz, and Rudy Alcaraz.
Thomas retired from the City of San Bernardino Water Department as a Water Utility Service and Repair Supervisor after 37 years of dedicated service. During his years of employment, Thomas was known for his strong work ethic, and hands on leadership which he displayed best alongside his subordinates.
During most of his life and well into his retirement, Thomas was an avid golfer who loved the sport. A nearly 50 year veteran of the game, he was always willing to share his knowledge with all who wanted to learn. Thomas could often times be found at any of the local golf courses in the Inland Empire, but most often displayed his passion for the game at the Colton Golf Club in the City of Colton.
Thomas has always been known for his ability to labor with his hands. Always available to help a family member or friend in need. A true “Jack of all trades”, he was often the first to volunteer, and always ready to stay until the task was complete.
A dedicated member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8737, in the City of San Bernardino, Thomas could often be found here. Whether volunteering his time to conduct needed maintenance, organizing events, or participating in scheduled activities, Thomas was always a steadfast and loyal member.
This dedicated family man and friend has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
