Eileen Rose Pastore

On April 15, 2016, Eileen Rose Pastore (age 84) of Columbia; Beloved wife of 56 years to Raymond Anthony Pastore; Loving mother of Lora Ann (Joe) Wehar, Mary Elizabeth Pastore, John Robert (Michelle) Pastore, Michael Anthony Pastore, and the late Joseph Gerard Pastore; Cherished grandmother of David and Stephen Wehar, Nicholas Pastore, and John and Olivia Pastore. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Alice Haverkos, and by her siblings, Harry Haverkos, Marcella Collins, Mary Alice Meyer, Ruth Quigley, and Tom Haverkos.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Eileen married Ray, and they raised five children. She then went to work for the Federal Government and later Macy’s. She was a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Columbia, where she loved singing in the choir. She was also an active member of the Laurel Senior Friendship Club, where she led the Bingo and took many bus trips with her friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Rd., Columbia, MD, 21045, Wednesday, April 20, from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 10 AM, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD, 21044. Interment will be held at 2:30 PM at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 831 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA, 20170.
