Frank John Scibek, Jr. of Ellicott City, MD, passed peacefully at home on May 15, 2024. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by Carol, his wife of 64 years. His children: David, Frank III, Carol, and Scott. Their respective spouses: Marcie, Peggy Marion, David Kee, and Shareen. His grandchildren: Frank IV, Ben Szunyogh, Harrison Kee and his wife Megan, Rachel Kee, Joseph, Ethan, Preston, and Grant. His two great grandchildren: Piper Kee and Elliott Kee. His brother Stanley and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Frank was an Army veteran, he worked for UPS for 30 years, he was a member of the DeMatha High School Men’s Club and a long time Girl Scout volunteer. He loved wood working, gardening, and puzzles. In retirement he and Carol loved traveling all around the world. He cherished his role as Pop-Pop and loved to spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Church in Ellicott City, MD. Friends and family are welcome. A private family internment ceremony will be held later in the year at The New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Frank’s name to either The Parkinson’s Foundation at https://www.parkinson.org or to Gilchrist Hospice Care at https://gilchristcares.org.
