Katherine was born in Columbia, Maryland, the third daughter to Michelle (Lee) and Tony Kim. She studied sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Katherine went on to work in different business sectors in New York City, including Bloomberg Philanthropies. She was a creative spirit who made paintings and pottery; and was passionate about music and photography. She loved the beach, animals, and Broadway showtunes. Katherine’s style, humor, and generosity of spirit will not be forgotten.
